Respectfully, this is not a competitive GPA at all, even for DO schools. Many DO matriculants are averaging in the mid 3.x, depending on the program. Every year it gets more competitive and comparable to MD. Many DO matriculants are averaging in the mid 3.x, depending on the program. Every year it gets more competitive and comparable to MD. VCOM student here - seems like most medical schools across the country will be re-opening their doors for in-person interviews. I believe VCOM will be, too, but not 100% sure yet. I submitted with a truly meh MCAT (490), an average GPA (cGPA 3.6, sGPA 3.5), but do have over 1000+ hours of patient care experience working as an MA.
